[W44] Eric Vázquez Jáuregui: Dark matter search results from the PICO-60 C3F8 bubble chamber

Title: Dark matter search results from the PICO-60 C3F8 bubble chamber Speaker: Eric Vazquez Jauregu (UNAM) Abstract: PICO-60 is a bubble chamber filled with 52 kg of C3F8 located 2 km underground at SNOLAB, near Sudbury Ontario Canada. The detector has an excellent electron recoil and alpha decay discrimination and world leading constraints on WIMP-proton spin-dependent cross sections will be presented in this webinar after a 1167 kg-day exposure at a threshold of 3.3 keV. No single scattering nuclear recoil candidates were observed, consistent with the predicted background setting a cross-section of 3.4x10^{-41} cm^2 for a 30 GeV/c^2 WIMP mass. Follow lawphysics in
