THE CROCODILE ATTACKED THE GORILLA AND SEE WHAT HAPPENED. Look at this impressive scene! A crocodile is caught attacking a gorilla on the riverbank! But how is that possible? Do crocodiles prey on gorillas? Stay with me until the end to understand what's happening here. Gorillas, despite being the largest primates on the planet, are not entirely free from predators. They live mainly in the tropical forests of Central Africa, where they share territory with some of the continent's most dangerous hunters — and, among them, the Nile crocodile is one of the most feared. These reptiles are true masters of ambush. They spend hours motionless, almost invisible, waiting for any creature that approaches the water. And, when they attack, they do so with impressive speed. The target doesn't even have time to react — and the blow is almost always fatal. In addition to crocodiles, leopards also represent a significant threat to young gorillas, females and cubs that can be attacked by surprise. But in nature, attacks like this are extremely rare. Crocodiles and gorillas generally live in different areas — the former preferring wide rivers and open banks, and the latter inhabiting dense forests. Even so, accidental encounters can happen, especially when gorillas descend to the river to drink water or cross swampy areas.
