i posted this vid as i wanted to show all the &it alls&that a 600cfm carb can work beautifully on an engine this small IF it is on a dual plane manifold, the dual plane manifold means the carb is effectively split in half, left to right, so the vacuum signal created by each cylinder only &one primary barrel of the carb and IF the vacuum is sufficient it opens the secondary barrel on the same side, so it is actually seeing a smaller cfm per cilinder than a 390 carb on a single plane manifold like a huffaker for example which lets each cylinder port &all 4 barrels of the carb. That is why back in the day when the rover V8 was really popular with hotrodders and custom car builders, the holley 390 always used to be used on a offenhauser 360 manifold (single plane) but later when the edelbrock 500 became popular it was always sold with the edelbrock dual plane manifold and it worked fine even on a rover 3.5 IF it&on an edelbrock dual plane manifold, if you put the 500cfm edelbrock on a offy 360 manifold it would not work well, it would be too much carb, likewise the holley 390 on an edelbrock manifold might not enough on a highly tuned high revving motor like mine but might be ok on an old 3.5 rover p5 or p6!!
