I have a 1978 F-150 Short-bed 4X4 with a 351M/400 (Edelbrock Performer intake manifold, Holley 4160 with electric-choke, Hedman headers, old Flowmaster dual-exhaust), and a Ford C6 automatic transmission. I recently replaced my Holley 4160 (built in the 80&or 90&with a brand new one due to massive leaks/needing to be rebuilt. Other than running rough at the start of a cold-start it runs fine. Forgot to update this: I grew up in San Diego, CA.. we never bothered hooking up/setting choke. I learned all about it fixing this problem which was just adjusting the choke to release sooner. Obviously the truck was running rich after start-up until it warmed up and released the choke.
