I keep reading that some people are convinced that the Scart connection is better than the component signal and vice versa, I wanted to clarify this in a comparison with high-quality cables. And yes, the PS2 can actually output 480p via RGB cable in RGsB mode. Since the PS2 does not output csync through its ports by default, and using a sync stripper or an RGB scart cable with csync (that only has a built-in sync stripper) will result in a loss of quality, luma sync/sync on green should be the better choice here. Both cables used for the comparison are handmade by the same person and use the same high quality components, which should provide equal quality for this particular comparison. AND FOLLOW ME DOWN THE RABBIT HOLE! Note: "As I already thought, the component signal is marginally sharper and the colors are barely noticeably warmer, but I only see that in a direct comparison and that&why I think both cable signals are equally good. I&sure many people won&even notice a difference, and that&a good sign."
