My Nakamichi CR-5E cassette deck. Nearly peerless performance

My Nakamichi CR-5E, it¬ a CR-7E or a Dragon, but I would wager there is not too much difference between any of them sonically. This deck is spot on. Very faithful recordings, and like they say, nothing compares to a Nak. The acid test is to play Nak recordings on other decks, they sound excellent still. Other decks don&share the same level of performance played through other machines, there is a certain solidity of sound and faithfulness to the original that other decks can&seem to match, but then again, Nakamichi made a lot of their own electronics and their own tape heads. Other manufacturers would often buy in OEM components to make even their top models. I&owned a lot of the competition, including Aiwa, Denon and Pioneer. They are not as good.
