The BMW ActiveHybrid 7 8 Rev counter with energy display: The red arrow indicates the momentary fuel consumption of the combustion engine. The blue arrow indicates, that the lithium-ion battery is charged by the electric motor (coasting, braking). "Ready" with a flashing blue arrow indicates the shutdown of the combustion engine (Auto Start/Stop Function) A blue arrow and "Boost" indicate the Assist Mode of the electric motor during acceleration. Hybrid graphics in the control display: Red arrows indicate the operation and energy flow of the combustion engine. Blue arrows indicate the battery charging function or Assist Mode ("eBOOST") of the electric motor. The 5 rectangles (partly blue) symbolize the lithium-ion battery and its charging condition.
