Thunderbolt 1003 (8 RPM) Retired Siren Test, Short Attack - Vander, NC 02/19/2022

*I do not make any money from my videos I post on my YouTube channel.* Recorded on February 19, 2022. This is a video of a Thunderbolt 1003A (3 phase model) sounding for a set off request/test. I came to this siren to try to get this siren to do pulse or other signals since GSPiedmont425 filmed this siren sounding all signals. The FD said no on doing this again because when after GSPiedmont425 filmed this siren last weekend (Feb 12, 2022), the FD was flooded with phone calls. This siren scared lots of nearby residents, fearing it was a nuclear explosion or possible air raid attack. The FD will allow a pulse or proper hi-lo in the summer of this year. I have to schedule the pulse/fire signal test with the FD first. This siren was originally used as a Civil Defense Siren and a fire siren. But this siren is no longer used for any of that since 1990&or early 2000&This siren will need maintenance on the blower. The FD will keep this siren for a long time. It will remain unused. This siren does not have a scheduled test. This siren hasn&gone off in many years from what I was told. This siren is located in Vander, NC at Vander Fire Department.
