Nelumbo nucifera | Sacred Lotus | Timelapse Blooming.

Nelumbo nucifera commonly referred to as Sacred Lotus or Indian Lotus or simply Lotus is an aquatic plant (grows in water). It has a larger beautiful fragrant flower which can easily be pollinated and the Ice Cream shaped seed pods are famously used as dry decoration arrangements. The plant is widely distributed through The Asian continent from India to Chinaand grows in ponds and shallow slow moving river streams. This specific plant shoot out a bud and stayed idle for more than a week and then it started puffing up and I get the camera and did a stretch of couple of days of time lapse.
