All frames are repaired, blended, graded, rescaled & retimed to create the footage. The Solar Dynamics Observatory is a spacecraft in a geosynchronous orbit that continuously observes the Sun and its effects on Earth. Its main goal is to understand solar activity and its effects on the Earth&environment, including space weather and climate. The Atmospheric Imaging Assembly (AIA) for the Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO) is designed to provide an unprecedented view of the solar corona, to significantly improve our understanding of the physics behind the activity displayed by the Sun&atmosphere.
