Lenovo Yoga 730 - 15 some keys not working! Keyboard problem repair - Fix by Reseat Ribbon!

This is a how-to video on how to fix the keyboard intermittent problem on Lenovo Yoga Laptop 730-15. Some of the keys are not working. Specifically, The S and D keys are not working on this laptop. This video will show how to fix this keyboard intermittent issue! The issue on this laptop is limited to S key and D key. But other laptops will include other keys NOT working. This video will show you how to fix non-working keys on your Lenovo Yoga laptop. How to reseat the keyboard ribbon. This will fix the problem on lenovo yoga laptop having keyboard problem. Symptoms some keys not working! POWER DOWN the laptop! 1. Remove the screws from the bottom of the laptop 2. Remove the bottom cover... I used the plastic tool to lift the cover. Any slim - shim tool will work 3. Locate the Keyboard Ribbon. 4. Lift the Black Plastic Clip holding the ribbon 5. Gently Lift - remove the ribbon from the clip. (once the black plastic gets lifted... it is easy to take of the ribbon). 6. Optional: Blow dry compressed air made for computers 7. re-insert or reseat the keyboard ribbon. Press the black plastic clip to lock it back in place. 8. Replace the cover and put all the screws back on. 9. Power Up the laptop and test the keys / keyboard!
