Discussing power caveats with the Tesla K80 in a Dell Poweredge R720 and installing it

The Dell Poweredge R720 requires some extra care when installing a NVIDIA Tesla K80. Since the K80 requires EPS 12V power you can&use the standard GPU power cable. If you use the Dell 9H6FV GPU power cable you will short 12V to ground and risk damaging hardware. These power caveats also apply to other Tesla cards such as the Tesla M40.
