ROCK SHOW - PATTI QUATRO ERiCSON

It&Thursday as I&recording this for you listening pleasure and I thought why make a Throwback THURSDAY out of the his situation and dig in to the massive vault of audio interviews that we&conducted over the years. The interview I&be presenting today was a favorite of mine from June of 2011 with rock guitarist PATTI QUATRO ERICSON - sister of glam rock legend SUZI QUATRO, but PATTI is a rock n roll pioneer all her own. In a time when girls in rock were limited to singing and dancing background PATTI and the QUATRO sisters were kicking out the motherfucking jams - as one does when you grow up in Detroit Rock City. The notion of girls picking up guitars and rocking out is a music industry norm these days but there was a time when an all girl band was exception to the widely accepted rule that rock n roll was a boys-only club. In the early sixties , the QUATRO sisters picked up their guitars, basses, keyboards and drum sticks and established the band THE PLEASURE SEEKERS in their hometown of Detroit Rock City. Eventually the band would forge a heavier sound as the band CRADLE before losing their sister and bassist SUZI QUATRO to a successful recording career overseas. Following the break up of CRADLE, PATTI QUATRO joined that other all-girl band FANNY. Anyway you look at it, PATTI and the QUATRO sisters are most definitely rock n roll pioneers.
