the oddly-shaped electric city vehicle is capable of speeds up to 140 km/h (87 mph), and has a battery that can be recharged by a high-voltage connection in just 30 minutes. A standard European 230-volt electrical outlet will recharge the 18 kWh lithium polymer gel battery in six hours. At full charge, the car has a range of about 160 kilometers (99 miles). The battery type has the benefit of a 20% weight reduction compared to a similarly rated lithium-ion battery pack. As a city car, the POP should have adequate acceleration, as the 50-kilowatt (68-PS) electric motor delivers 190 Nm of torque.
