Elisso Wirssaladze , live in London ....................................................... "Erlkönig" is a poem by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. It was originally composed as part of a 1782 Singspiel entitled Die Fischerin. The poem has been used as the text for Lieder (art songs for voice and piano) by many classical composers, with Franz Schubert&rendition, his Opus 1 (D. 328), being the best-known one. Erlkönig, ossia Il re degli Elfi, è una ballata scritta nel 1782 da Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, e fa parte dell&conosciuta come Die Fischerin. Il testo della ballata è stato musicato da parecchi compositori, tra cui il Lied di Franz Schubert (di cui è probabilmente il capolavoro) è il più celebre; L&composta nel 1815 per voce e pianoforte viene spesso usata come strumento didattico da molti insegnanti di tedesco. La créature évoquée dans le poème est un Erlkönig, personnage représenté dans un certain nombre de poèmes et ballades allemandes comme une créature maléfique qui hante les forêts et entraîne les voyageurs vers leur mort.
