Scale Sensations
This video is to replace my earlier video uploaded in January 2016 which had lower resolution. In this HD version, you should be able to see more clearly the fingering on the fretboard. This video covers the 12 string guitar part on the Anthology 2 version of And Your Bird Can Sing, the one with the stoned giggling by John and Paul. I always liked the piercing guitar jangle of The Byrds that the Beatles adopted for the earlier version. The 12 string parts are not difficult but would almost certainly tax a beginner of guitar. I believe George used a capo on the second fret of his Rickenbacker 360/12 (almost certainly the second one he received in August 1965). Using the capo on the second fret makes it easier to get the strummed F# minor chords of the bridge to sustain. The earlier January 2016 video will be made private. It clocked up 6,620 views during its run. File note: 7 Oct 2020 As expected there was a copyright notice as soon as I uploaded.
