Vietnamese water puppets are an ancient Vietnamese tradition. Originating in the northern areas of Vietnam where the flooded rice paddies served as stages for the water puppets. The water puppets give the illusion of floating, dancing, and swimming in the water. Their popularity continues on to this day serving as a very popular tourist attraction. In Vietnam the water puppets are called Múa rối nước which means: puppets that dance on water. As you will see in this video water puppets includes many unique things, including puppet acrobatics, unique figurines, and even fireworks.
