PreSonus Audio Electronics, Inc. today announced the global launch of its NSB 32.16 32×16 AVB-networked stage box for PreSonus StudioLive Series III mixers, the latest addition in the StudioLive ecosystem of AVB networkable products. As with PreSonus’ NSB 16.8 and NSB 8.8 stage boxes, the NSB 32.16 delivers signals to and from an AVB Ethernet network over CAT5e or CAT6 cable and enables expansion of StudioLive Series III mixers that have limited onboard analog I/O to a full 32- or 64-input mixing system. A built-in two-port AVB switch lets you daisy-chain multiple units. The NSB 32.16 provides 32 locking combo mic/line inputs with PreSonus’ digitally controlled, Class A, solid-state XMAX mic preamps; 32 balanced TRS, ¼-inch, line-level inputs; 16 balanced XLR, line-level analog outputs; and 2 stereo AES3 digital outputs on XLR connectors. Input trim, phantom power, and more can be remote-controlled from a StudioLive Series III console or using free PreSonus UC Surface control software for macOS, Windows, iPadOS and Android. Like all NSB-series stage boxes, the NSB 32.16 can provide inputs for multiple StudioLive Series III digital mixers on an AVB network, so it’s possible to send audio from the stage to a front-of-house mixer, monitor mixer, broadcast mixer, and more, all from the same NSB 32.16. NSB-series stage boxes feature onboard DSP that provides gain compensation on every input, enabling each mixer on the network to make gain adjustments relative to the level set...
