Bushcraft Knives - Bark River Aurora, Fallkniven Custom, Bark River Bushcrafter

Hi folks, I’m sharing some of my bushcraft knives. I have these beauties outfitted in custom leather sheaths. The specs and my detailed write up are listed below. Enjoy! Bark River Aurora – Antique Ivory Linen Micarta with Red Liners This is a large bushcraft knife with a very substantial point for drilling, piercing and probing. Overall Length: 9.5 inches or 24.1 cm Blade Length: 4.5 inches or 11.4 cm Blade Thickness: .170 or 4.3 mm Weight: 6 ounces or 170 grams Blade Steel: CPM3V @ 58-59rc Grind: Convex Custom Bark River Firesteel: Antique Ivory Linen Micarta The Aurora rides in a high quality custom Modular Dual Carry Sheath by the Patriot Leather Company. It has a removable dangler, survival pouch, firesteel loop and tie down tab. The pouch will hold a mini Altoids tin. I&had this set up for about 1 1/2 years and really like this configuration. I still prefer using sandpaper or stropping with emulsion over a stone. Fallkniven F1 Custom – Maroon Linen Micarta with White Liners The F1 Custom offers a high quality stainless steel blade. It can be used for bushcrafting, hunting and survival. 3G seems to hold a slightly better edge than VG10.
