Centara Seaview Resort Khao Lak 2016.02.23 - water quality in the children's pool

Definitely not a 4-star hotel! The cleaning is mediocre, at best. There is a big difference in the standard of the rooms. The most expensive far from being the most luxurious. The family suite is spacious, but haphazardously run-down. They have a kitchen - in the loosest sense possible. At first glance it&very nice. A nice kitchen table that extends to a counter with four chairs. The chairs are so low that even grown ups have a problem eating properly, while Our 2 year old can barely see what&on the table while seated, let alone eat. The cupboards are gaping empty, save for 4 spoons, forks, knifes, plates & 2 cups, large glasses, and small glasses. Forget inviting anyone over for a drink - you can&serve them. The utilities in the, so called, kitchen comprises of an electrical kettle an a microwave oven - no oven, no stove, and not even a toaster. The choice of folding doors to the bunk bed room offer very little comfort in privacy in the other rooms. The water in the pools is nothing short of discusting, the children&pool in particular. The fact that more and more pumps have stopped working combined with absolutely no cleaning of the surface and/or bottom has given lots of algae. The pool around the bar is designed in a way that allows no circulation what so ever - this area has been smelly all the time we&been here.
