In this video, we take an introductory look at Windmill.dev. Windmill is an open source solution that enables developers to rapidly build web applications, schedule background automation scripts, integrate with external cloud and storage services, and work effectively in a team environment. Windmill is a tool that can be used by anyone, to build custom tools, using Bash scripts, Python functions, Go code, TypeScript, Docker containers, and more! Windmill can be easily deployed onto virtual Linux infrastructure by using a Docker Compose file, or using the Helm CLI to deploy the Windmill chart onto Kubernetes clusters. New users of Windmill will probably want to use the more simple Docker Compose approach. Experienced users, who need scalability, will generally want to deploy Windmill onto Kubernetes private cloud infrastructure. Using a scalable system of "workers," Windmill can queue up and execute many automation scripts in parallel, providing fast performance. Additional workers can be added to the default Windmill deployment by simply installing the worker software and connecting it to Windmill&PostgreSQL back-end database. ?
