arduino vs1053b synth

the vs1053b is an special mp3 player since although it can play audio files from an sd card it also support real time midi so that it can be used as a synth. On the datasheet it says that you can enable real time midi by pulling up to 3.3v gpio1 and gpio0 to gnd and then sending midi data through the rx pin but no matter what i tried it never work out so that is why i use arduino for using instead the spi interface for real time midi.
