This semi-religious motet was one of more than 2000 works by the prolific Franco-Flemish composer Orlando di Lasso (a.k.a. Roland DeLattre, Orlande de Lassus and Orlandus Lassus). He had traveled to all the most fabulous city-states of Renaissance Europe: Milan, Naples, Rome, Ferrara, Paris and finally Munich. He worked beside Palestrina in Rome, and taught the likes of Andrea and Giovanni Gabrieli in Munich. This light-hearted piece is a song in praise of Music, most likely written at the end of Lassus&long and productive career as music director and composer. The original MIDI files without voices was compiled and uploaded to CPDL.org by Pothárn Imre. I added the Latin text using the Spanish voice module MAIKA and the Vocaloid 4 vocal processor. The Renaissance organ sound doubling the Vocaloid choir was created using the pan pipe and pipe organ patches in MusicStudio2. Reverb and noise filtering were added using Audacity.
