Performance by Duo.Hansen violinist, Julia Hansen cellist, Adam Hansen A peak into our process: As you may notice, unlike some other arrangements of the Beauty and the Beast Prelude for violin or cello, in our edition, we were determined to preserve the piano part in a number of places. This presented some interesting challenges on our instruments, as it was never intended for them and tends to break a lot of the general “rules”! But, honestly, we don&like to simplify if we don&have to, so this definitely takes some chops to play (and it doesn&hurt to have long fingers....).
