Велосипедные треки: путь к победе
Air in hydraulic brakes? How important are the brakes? Today I’m going to bleed the rear hydraulic disc brake system by using the Shimano basic kit (TL-BT03-S). The basic kit comes with: Syringe with tube, oil funnel, stopper and oil catch tank. Let’s start by removing the disc brake pads, this is to prevent oil spills. Take off the bleed nipple cap, place a 7mm socket wrench in place and connect the tube to the bleed nipple. Rotate the lever so that it¶llel to the ground. Remove the screw and then put in the oil funnel. The tip is too small so I inserted a plastic tube for a snug fit. Insert a bleed block or socket wrench between the pistons, this is to prevent them from coming out. Loosen the bleed fitting and start the bleeding process. Push the plunger until there are no more air bubbles mixed in with the oil that is coming out. Plug the oil stopper and remove the oil funnel. Install the brake pads and test the levers, if everything is good, remove the syringe and put back the wheel. At last, lift the front of the bike up press the brake lever repeatedly, if it’s getting loose, remove the reservoir cover, take out any remaining air bubbles by pressing the lever and fill up the brake oil if necessary.
