In this video, we will show you the steps to root your device running the latest Android via either patched boot.img or patched init_boot.img file. Should you use Boot.img or Init_boot.img for rooting your device? If your device comes with Android 13 or Android 14 out of the box [such as Pixel 8 and 7 series, OnePlus 11, Xiaomi 13, etc.] then you’ll have to use the init_boot.img file for root. On the other hand, if your device came with Android 12 or older version out of the box and has since been updated to Android 14 [Pixel 6 series, OnePlus 10, Poco F4], then you’ll have to use the boot.img for root. 00:00 Risks of Rooting 01:07 Should you use Boot or Init_boot for Root 02:14 Android SDK Platform Tools 02:31 Enable USB Debugging and OEM Unlock 03:29 Unlock Bootloader 05:36 Extract Boot/Init 10:41 Download Magisk 11:45 Patch Boot/Init_boot via Magisk 13:06 Transfer patched Boot/Init_boot to Platform Tools 13:35 Boot to Fastboot Mode 15:23 Root Android 14 via Patched Boot.img 20:27 Root Android 14 via Patched Init_Boot.img 24:23 Concluding Remarks on Boot vs Init_boot
