Asymmetric Femto-cut CAIRS by Dr. Shady Awwad using the Ziemer LDV Z8

This video, by Dr. Shady Awwad, describes a new technique of creating custom-made, asymmetric corneal allogenic ring segments (CAIRS) using the Ziemer LDV Z8 femtosecond laser, for the treatment of keratoconus. This project is a joint effort by Fabian Müller, PhD of Ziemer Ophthalmic Systems, and Drs. Yara Bteich, Jad Assaf, Jeremiah Gendy, Soosan Jacob, and Farhad Hafezi.
