Taylor Big Baby Taylor Acoustic Guitar Natural demo and review The Taylor Big Baby acoustic guitar is a big performer with tremendous sound for its slightly smaller size. A solid spruce top gives the Taylor Big Baby acoustic great definition, the sapele back and sides add warmth, and the comfortable American mahogany neck sports a flat radius for easy chording and low action. This is an excellent guitar for the beginner or seasoned professional! This is an organic sound demo -- no after effects, no studio sound dampening, just a room, a mic, and a guitar. What you hear is what you get with the Taylor Big Baby natural acoustic guitar! Recorded with an MXL 3000 condenser mic. This guy came in for a setup and a saddle lowering, but I didn&have a problem with the factory setup at all -- this Taylor Big Baby played awesome, right out of the box! This particular Taylor Big Baby acoustic guitar is the natural version with an ebony fretboard and 15/16 size, made in Mexico. It definitely feels smaller and lighter in the hand than a full size dreadnought, but even seasoned acoustic guitar players will barely notice any difference in playability. Even better, when recording with a condenser mic, you won&have to struggle to find good mic placement because this thing has no boominess or overpowering bass to speak of, but still sounds huge!
