Pacific Crest Trail 2022 - Day 127: Wildfire Evacuation!

Day 127 - Wildfire Evacuation It was only a 7 mile hike into Seiad Valley on forest roads and then regular roads. It was humid and the sun was bright red. A car stopped and a guy told us that there are wildfires around us. On the way to the store we met Jeff and his girlfriend who follow my adventures on YouTube and had offered us a place to stay for the night, but had to evacuate their home due to the fires. Made it to the store, hung out for a few hours, got a ride from the Forest Service to Happy Camp, CA, met a crazy guy and almost hitched with 8 other hikers and him in his old RV, from there a hitch into Cave Junction, OR, from there a taxi to Grants Pass, OR and finally a hotel room to get some rest.
