The Butterfly - Irish Hop Jig, Wooden Flute and Fiddle

More from our "what we did on our holidays" series - we managed two very brief recording sessions, this one in my parents garden in England. Very popular Irish hop jig "The Butterfly" played on Irish wooden flute (made by Hammy Hamilton) and violin. Something very wonderful about playing folk music outside in such a lovely garden. Frequently labelled a slip jig as it is 9/8 but apparently slip jigs tend to go "pineapple pineapple PINEapple" whereas hop jigs tend to go "HUMPty humpty humpty" - thanks to those who corrected my original posting.
