How To Reset the Service Light / Maintenance Indicator on Maserati M161 Levante Models

After performing an oil service on a Maserati, you’ll need to reset the maintenance indicator using a scan tool. From model year 2019 the Secure Gateway Module will need to be bypassed using a specialized cable. This bypass allows an aftermarket scan tool, like our iSCAN sf, to perform routine bi-directional controls. Maserati has yet to release a gateway bypass solution to the aftermarket to perform bi-directional controls, like maintenance indicator reset, parking brake adaptation, battery reset and other important procedures your customers will need. In this video, we will show you how to access the Gateway control module as well as connect a specialized professional bypass cable to enable bi-directional controls. Once connected, we’ll perform the maintenance indicator reset.
