The Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 is a new model built on the brand’s 650 Twin platform that has a unique style and a focus on customization potential. This new bike began as a limited edition build at Motoverse 2023, and the production version Shotgun 650 will be launched across global markets in early 2024. The Shotgun 650 features a “neo-retro” design that combines Royal Enfield’s heritage with a modern appeal. The new Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 is powered by a 648cc liquid-cooled parallel twin that produces a claimed 46.3 horsepower at 7,250 rpm and 52.3 newton-meters (or 38.5 pound-feet) of torque at 5,650 rpm. It&mated to a six-speed gearbox. LED lighting is standard on the Shotgun 650. The Shotgun 650 has a shorter wheelbase, greater ground clearance, and a very slight drop in curb weight as compared to the Super Meteor 650. Suspension on the Shotgun 650 is provided by a 41mm Showa Big Piston Fork with 4.7 inches of travel and a Showa twin shock rear suspension unit with 3.5 inches of travel and five-step preload adjustability. The brakes comes with a single two-piston ByBre floating brake caliper and a 320mm disc up front, and a single two-piston ByBre floating caliper and a 300mm disc in the rear. ABS is standard at both ends, as are braided stainless steel brake lines from the factory.
