Whirlpool AWT 2071 washing machine drive belt fail

#washingmachine #washingmachinefail #homeappliance ENGLISH: My washing machine may be on it&last legs as the driving belt came off from the pulleys and earlier the drum lifter had to be fixed with cable ties. Also the spinning cycle doesn&sound too good. The belt tried to get away again from the big pulley but stayed when I placed it to the outermost grooves in the motor pulley. Didn&want to disassemble the washer more than just open the side panel to gain access to the belt. Update: As of February 13 2015 it still works ok, belt has stayed on the pulleys so I guess I did fix it :) Update number 2, April 2016: This washer has been recycled now because of catastrophic failure during the spin cycle, probably the drum bearings broke down. Here&a video about it: WARNING! If you ever have to do any repairs to your washing machine, first thing you must do is disconnect the powerlead from the wall socket. There may still be power even when it&disconnected if there are capacitors in the system. In a case of bigger repair than the belt, I recommend leaving it alone and bring it to the professonial repair shop because I don&know how to discharge the caps. However, just putting the belt back in the pulleys should be safe job if you don&touch the motor, wires and the capacitors if there are any. I can&take any responsibility for any damage or injury if you decide to repair your washing machine. You do it at your own risk or don&do it at all! Of course you&save money by doing this...
