2021 Porsche 718 Spyder [Boxster] convertible roof operation

It’s not as easy as one-button operation (like most Porsches). Just as in the previous-generation Spyder, Porsche opted for a lightweight roof system rather than a heavy system complicated by hydraulics and power motors. I was able to do a roof opening in about 1 minute, but it was too boring to post that video. I’ll admit, my first time it took me around 4 minutes until I felt comfortable with the level of resistance on each mechanism. The exhaust sound clip at the end of the video is from a cold start in the showroom, with a little tap to about 1800 rpm. I wouldn’t rev up a cold engine any more than that!
