This video demonstrates how electrons are deflected in a magnetic field. The experiment sets up 2 magnets with opposite poles facing. A magnetic washer is rolled between them and the washer is attracted to one pole and repelled by the other. Because of this, the path of the washer is deflected to either the left or the right. This is analogous to how the magnetic field works. Space is made out of electrostatic dipoles and when a magnetic field is present, these dipole line up with each other. When a charge like an electron has to pass through these dipoles, the charge has to pass through this field which is positive on one side and negative on the other. The charge is attracted to one side and repelled by the other, just like this demonstration shows.
