This is a racing flat without a carbon fiber plate. It is an affordable race day option. It costs $90 U.S. dollars. It weights 7.4oz for a men&size 9 on my scales. It features a highly breathable mesh upper that is soft, comfortable, and strong. It has great airflow keeping your feet cool while you run. The collar and tab are adequately padded and comfortable. The tongue is thin and lightweight with no additional padding. The heel count has moderate structure that gives you some heel stability. The midsole is a simple EVA foam with a low heel stack height of 21mm and 16mm in the forefoot. Although the EVA is a relatively low stack height, it provides for plenty of bounce and energy return. The outsole is covered in rubber from heel to toe for added durability. These shoes are a solid speed day workout shoe or a shoe that you could use on race day. It&easy to pick up the pace in them. They have a good deal of ground contact feel under foot. When mid to forefoot striking I got a very smooth feeling in my gait cycle. Asics features their GUIDESOLE technology inspired design that exaggerates the spring in toe of the shoe that helps to create a roll feeling that propels you forward. Overall I found this shoe to be a solid speed work shoe that you can use on race day. I feel like it will...
