Check Engine Light P0128 error code - 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee (WK2) - thermostat replacement Step by step how to. My Jeep Grand Cherokee&check engine light came on and it turns out I need to replace the thermostat. It&a $20 part. It&a simple fix and isn&too time consuming. Hopefully my DIY video can give you the confidence needed to complete this project. Feel free to leave questions down below and like and subscribe to my video to see my follow up project where I replace the thermostat. This first indication of a thermostat problem is the car self-diagnostic system lights a check engine light. Once you connect an ODBII reader to the car you&see a P0128 error. This error is usually caused because your Jeep&coolant thermostat temperature is below the regulating temperature of 195-200 degrees. It&essentially not getting hot enough, fast enough. When the thermostat in your Jeep fails, it fails open which essentially keeps the coolant flowing and doesn&stop it so that it heats up and then circulates through the radiator to cool off. Below is the full parts list for everything that you&going to need to do this job. Tools needed: Optional but recommended: Lint-free paper towels Safety glasses (required) Gloves (optional) Cardboard (great for catching spills) Feel free to comment below, thumbs up this video, and subscribe to my channel so that I know to make more just like this in the future. Thanks for watching!
