BMW B47 engine disassemble Part 1!!! Oil sump

The BMW B47D20B engine was removed from the vehicle due to catastrophic failure, bottom end knock. In this video we remove the oil sump and see the remainders of the old engine oil. We started taking the engine apart to see the damage and to see if it is worth repairing. The engine oil more like sludge and mud was more than two years old with only 20K miles. The oil filter was full of bronze metal shavings. The engine oil was also flushed out three times and we were still surprised to see the terrible condition of this neglected engine.
