Lipedema correction is performed with high definition 360-degree liposuction to the legs. Before every procedure, Dr. Salameh performs preoperative markings. These preoperative markings are his GPS during the surgery while the patient is on the table. Preoperative markings are important for the success of every procedure. Lipedema affects patients not only psychologically because of the irregular accumulation of fat deposits mostly on the legs, thighs, hips, arms, and forearms, but also physically due to pain that a lot of patients experience due to the hard fat nodules that are a result of this disease. Lipedema is a disorder that causes symmetric enlargement of the legs due to deposits of fat beneath the skin. It is a common condition, occurring almost exclusively in women. Lipedema affects up to 11% of women. In this video, Dr. Salameh finishes up liposuction on our awesome patient.
