The seat belts in your Mercedes C320 are an integral part of the safety system. You should inspect your belts ever six months for signs of chafing, splits or broken fibers in the fabric. If the belt has been twisted through the retainers they can wear and fray. If your belts show any sign of damage you should replace them immediately. Begin by moving your seat as far forward as it will go. You are going to need access to the seat belt anchoring point on the side of the front seat along with the B pillar. Use your trim removal tool and pry the front trim piece up and out. Next use your trim tool and lever off the trim panel on front seat to expose seat belt fastener. Use a T45 Torx and remove the lower mounting point of the belt from the seat. Remove the lower trim panel along the rear floor using your trim tool. Pull the weather stripping from around the B pillar on both the front and rear door frames. The B pillar trim is two pieces. The lower piece is plastic and the upper piece is fabric and they are both held in by four clips. Use a small flat head screwdriver and unclip the piece from the B pillar. Use a 17mm socket and remove the upper mounting point. Remove the large T45 bolt holding the seat belt retraction unit to the lower mount. Use a T30 Torx and remove the four bolts holding the two piece lower bracket. Remove the green wiring harness and clip the zip tie where it mounts to the bracket.
