It is still unclear if this TV line will become available in the U.S. as the current TV lineup does not include Toshiba’s Z-series models, but we are working to get confirmation from Toshiba. The Z870/875 LCD TVs incorporate Mini LED backlighting combined with Quantum Dots. This combination allows for improved local dimming for a more precise display of blacks and whites, and the Quantum Dots support better color. Additional video processing support is provided by the latest version of the REGZA processor. The Z870/875 series is also capable of 120Hz or 144Hz refresh rate (may vary by model) and MEMC motion processing, making them ideal for gaming. Further gaming support is provided by Toshiba’s Game Mode Pro, which includes ALLM (Auto Low Latency Mode), VRR (Variable Refresh Rate), and AMD FreeSync technology. The Toshiba REGZA engine supports 97% of the DCI-P3 color gamut. The Z870/875 series is compatible with the Dolby Vision HDR format. On the audio side, the TV has a built-in 2.1 channel sound system, as well as Dolby Atmos support.
