EGR flow trouble codes can be tricky if you do not know your systems. This video will show you method of quickly testing one of the most commonly faulty parts on a Ford EGR system. The DPFE sensor (delta or differential pressure feedback sensor for the EGR valve). The only tools you need to test this sensor is a voltmeter and some knowledge of the system. I am using scan data instead of a voltmeter in this case. If you have just a basic OBDII scan tool, most likely you will not be given the option of seeing DPFE sensor signal voltage. In which case, you will have to connect a voltmeter. I will post some other videos within this video (don&turn off your captions) on how to test this DPFE sensor using a voltmeter. On ScannerDanner Premium I will bring you right into my classroom at Rosedale Technical College. You will find page for page lectures taken right from my book as well as exclusive classroom type case studies. What is so special about these classroom case studies? I pull live problem vehicles directly into my classroom and we troubleshoot them in real time, using and applying the theory and testing procedures we learn during the classroom lectures. There is no better on-line training of how to troubleshoot automotive electrical and electronics systems anywhere!
