Everyone knows that Defence participates and runs a lot of war games and activities to help in training. Did you know they also help influence policies and practices for the future force? It’s not just Defence members that help shape this narrative and action the outcomes. This panel aims to talk about the researchers behind these type of war games and what goes into them. The research, preparation, development, implementation, and response. How does war gaming help to integrate the new and emerging technologies being adopted within the force, and assess the known and unknown risks associated with them. What do games practices lend towards a better understanding of our potential capabilities? Hear from some academics on the “front line” helping shape our future force.
