While you can certainly use normal building bricks to build your oven stand, if you&never laid bricks before it can be a bit daunting, what with levels and stringlines and laser-beams and so on! We like to use these Adbri &blocks, it&like big, heavy (slightly messy) Lego. They&also incredibly strong, so your stand will double as a bomb-shelter when you&finished.
