Amy and Tammy were born in 1987 and 1988 respectively. The two sisters Amy Salton and tammy Salton were tipping the scales at over 1000 pounds combined. Now that they had entered their thirties, they went like enough is enough, they started to strongly realize the fact that their obesity had been getting in the way of many things they wanted to do. Amy for instance wanted to have children but she cannot get pregnant until she lost a significant amount of weight. In the first two seasons of the show, they have tried to lose weight enough to make themselves able to have bariatric surgery. As you guys know weight-loss operations are sometimes viable solutions for people who need to lose some pounds because many of these procedures speed up the pace of digestion and calorie burning.
