France - Hiking in Vercors, 6 days crossing its south cliffs

10 Jan 2026 On top of the Vercors south mountains, I set off for a 6-day hike into the wild. Following the rising sun, I’ll discover the plateau of Ambel and its enchanted forests, explore the plateau of Font d’Urle and its geological treasures, travel the well known High Plateaus and Archiane circus, before reaching oriental wall of the mountain. Through the days walking on karstic plateaus of this natural fortress, I will encounter the wild animals who live there, covered with hair or feathers, and who will mark my soul with their serenity. The Sun, who will accompany me every day during spring, will warm-up my heart and light my path with flowers of thousands of colours.
