Description Just figured out last night that I should use two coils for each of the eight positions one set to generate the 120 vac 60hz for pole transformer and the other set to generate the 160 v for the HV pbc. this will replace the inverter. I&still be able to use the variac to assist in the motor speed control. currently the generator has only iron screws inside the coils for mounting to the wood housing. if needed I can add iron pieces latter. To determine the number of turns required to get the peek voltage output of 169 volts for the 120 rms output I&have to wind a pair of coils and back off the turns till I get 169/4= 42v, then wind the other 3 pairs and put them all in series. Motor rewind shop suggested 17 ga mag wire.. It maybe possible to generate say 200 volts peek and use a transformer stepdown with moveable core for output control. if output drops then the core is moved further inside the transformer center to increase the output back to normal 120 volts. This could be done and have almost instantaneous control. I can also add mass to the outside of the motor to increase the flywheel affect. this extra weight coild additional NEO Magnets and these could also be used to generate some voltage to replenish the input batteries.
