On the evening of 14 July 2016, a vehicular attack occurred in Nice, France, when a man deliberately drove a cargo truck into a crowd of people celebrating Bastille Day on thePromenade des Anglais. At least 80 people were killed. The perpetrator was shot and killed by police.
