Out of the box it is quick to set up. Just add batteries and some water in the water reservoir on the bottom, and it is ready to go. The functions are easy to use and respond well. The only reason that I rated it a 4 inserted of 5 is because when I operated it on carpet it would get stuck. It was a medium pile carpet.I like the toy and thought it was lots of fun, and the mist function was super cool. If I could make some suggestions to make it better I would make it a little quieter, and make it so that you could turn the sound off or maybe make it so you could talk into the remote. I know these functions would make it more expensive so they are just suggestions, not anything counting against the toy. We loved playing with it!
