The finest in Teutonic BOOM! I played all the instruments since the original recording is copyright blocked. Sorry, I don&sing. This song is great fun to play, and is a potentially easy drum song for somewhat higher-level beginners. The kick drum isn’t fancy, on the quarter notes nearly throughout, doubling the snare on 2 and 4. All the fills are on the snare. There are no crazy drumming pyrotechnics - Christoph Schneider is capable of much more, but this martial beat fit the song perfectly. I am playing it really close to the original, so I hope this can serve as a sort of lesson or tutorial for anyone trying to learn it. Use YouTube’s “playback speed” setting to slow it down if you are having trouble figuring something out. The hi-hats are on the 8th notes with just a couple of places where there are two quarter notes instead. Easy. The only hard part is when to open the hat (hence the foot cam!). During the choruses, they are always open. During the verses and the break, they are generally closed. The exception starts at 1:46, where they open-close-repeat for about 12 seconds. I got used to this by just to start playing it slow and speeding up. It’s certainly not impossible with practice. The snare fills are sometimes fast, so concentrating on timing is important, particularly the long snare 16ths near the beginning.
